Every DESIGN WORKS MARBLE & GRANITE JOB that is covered by our exclusive 1 year Limited Warranty is protected against defects in manufacture by DESIGN WORKS MARBLE & GRANITE ,provided that DESIGN WORKS MARBLE & GRANITE install the job.This Warranty applies only to the initial owner of the job.

WHAT DESIGN WORKS MARBLE & GRANITE WILL DO:

If the product develops a manufacturing defect within the one-year period for Natural Stone ,it will be repaired or replaced (a countertop of equal value and similar (if not the same) appearance will be supplied )at our option, provided that:

The  owner  completes, signs, and returns the enclosed Warranty Registration Form and Satisfaction survey to DESIGN WORKS  MARBLE & GRANITE within thirty (30) days of the initial installation of the job.

The installed  DESIGN WORKS & MARBLE & GRANITE product has not been removed from the location of initial installation.

The owner provides proof and date of purchase to DESIGN WORKS MARBLE & GRANITE.

THIS LIMLITED WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER THE FOLLOWING:

DESIGN WORKS MARBLE & GRANITE will not repair a defect if installation is not performed by DESIGN WORKS MARBLE & GRANITE ,will not provide any warranty service if the product shows evidence that it has been tampered with,

Misused, abused, or altered, including chemical abuse ( i.e., oil stains) and physical abuse ( i.e. excessive chipped edge or scratches). We will be happy to provide you with a poultice recipe to draw out oil stains if they occur. DESIGN WORKS  MARBLE & GRANITE will provide recommendations and/ or assist in repair work not covered under the warranty; additional charge may apply.

DESIGN WORKS MARBLE & GRANITE will not warranty any honed material, any marble, travertine, limestone, slate or onyx in the case of scratching, staining, or structural integrity as these surfaces may be more susceptible to damage due to lack of polish or  other unique physical characteristics. However, DESIGN WORKS MARBLE & GRANITE will seal each piece of material prior to or at the time of installation in an effort to improve the material’s ability to combat staining.

NATURAL STONE INFORMATION

Thank you for your stone order. We at DESIGN WORKS MARBLE & GRANITE appreciate your business, In order to serve you better and prevent any misunderstanding about your order; we would like to review the following information.

WARRANTY: Please note this warranty does not cover staining, chipping, scratching or etching due to improper maintenance, neglect misuse or for circumstances beyond the range of our limit warranty.

NATURAL STONE:

Color variations: Marble and granite is product of nature and as such. Variations are to be expected. Samples may not be representative of the entire order, and slabs on the market currently may be somewhat different in appeal of stone and cannot be avoided.

Fissures, pit areas, veining: Are all natural occurrences in stone and add to its look and appeal. Due to above, customer should agree to view slabs prior to fabrication .If customer chooses not to view product, no claim of dissatisfaction due to variations between the sample seen and the stone delivered will not be warranted.

Granite is extremely durable surface. It is impervious to heat and highly scratch resistant.  However, it’s not scratch proof and care should be exercised in use and cleaning. Never use abrasive cleaners with pumice or steel wood pads to clean stone, Stone cleaner are available. If stone cleaner are not used, then wash with non-acid, ammonia-free dish soap.

Being a natural material, stone is somewhat porous and staining is possible under unusual circumstances. We apply a sealer after installation. It is recommended that you reseal every six to twelve months.

QUARTZ STONE:

Variation in the natural stone (quartz) color, pattern, and sizes shade are inherited and unique characteristics are to be expected with this product. This does not affect the product performance in any manner. Quartz Stone is structurally more resistant to surface damage than other stone. However, all stone can be damaged by excessive force or pressure. Quartz is not a seamless product, seams are visible. Where there are seams, the product pattern and shade can change.

Natural Stone can be damaged by sudden and rapid change of temperature, especially near edge, as well as direct or sustained heating of the top. Quartz may not withstand the direct transfer of heat form pots and pans and other cooking units such as electric frying pans and griddles, some crock pots or roaster ovens and heat lamps. Therefore the use of hot pad or trivet is recommended.

Quartz honed and semi-gloss products will appear dull and not shiny. Quartz installation is optimized when walls and cabinets are properly prepared for installations This includes, but is not limited to, structurally sound, straight, level and square walls and cabinets, lack of which may cause poor installation and poor seam fit, or inconsistent countertop overhang and placement,

Carefree: No sealing, polishing, reconditioning. Simply wash with warm water. It’s that simple.

Food Safe: Quartz is a non-porous surface for foot preparation.

Stain Resist: Quartz will resist stains from juices, food coloring, coffee, tea, wine, grapes, nail polish, paint, and permanent markers.
